Gratitude for Health, Wealth, and Abundance

Lately I have received many reminders to be grateful, through both messages from others (books, training calls, etc.) and through my personal experiences.  My father is currently in a nursing home recovering from a broken ankle.  Simply walking in (and more importantly, out) of a nursing home will shift your perspective and impart an immediate sense of appreciation for the health you have today.  Anytime you walk out of a nursing home, you are doing better than any resident there!

Today, I reminded my father that he is doing better than 90% of the people in the nursing home with him, as he gets to go home in a few weeks while most others will stay longer, perhaps indefinitely.  It may not have been obvious to him before we discussed it, but I saw his demeanor change after he thought about it.

All too often, I need these reminders.  Although I do try in earnest to be grateful for all I have every single day, there are moments when other thoughts take over.  It can be a challenge to dispel fearful thoughts, but it becomes easier when you remember to be grateful now…and I mean RIGHT NOW!  This moment is all we have, so we must be grateful for it.

If you have shelter, clean running water, ample food and clothing, and are in good health, your survival is easy compared to many in the world.  Don’t feel grateful for running water?  Go camping.  I mean rustic camping…no running water or electricity.  If you don’t yet feel grateful for running water (not to mention a steamy, hot shower) then perhaps you should visit a third world country.

I am grateful for the opportunity to express myself freely.  I am grateful to live in a country where entrepreneurs’ efforts are welcome.  I am grateful for family and friends.  I am grateful for the business leaders and mentors in my life.  I am grateful for my business opportunities.  I am grateful for my health.  I am grateful for running water and steamy hot showers!  I am grateful for www.myonlinesalesbusiness.com.  I am grateful for my lifestyle.  I am grateful for my home.  I am grateful for my dog…she makes me laugh!

I am grateful for you, too.  Thank you for reading!
